She is shy and reserved and very easily embarrassed. As a result, she tends to keep close to her work and avoid others. She's very friendly and fun-loving once she really gets to know someone, though that might take longer than most have the patience for. Her past is a sore subject for her. She lived with her father until he died when she was 17. Moving in with her mother proved difficult. The woman was controlling and very demeaning, constantly making Kathryn second guess herself. In College Kathryn met Riles, her professor and riding instructor for the Equine Studies program. He took advantage of her naivity and coaxed her into a relationship where her world centered around him, despite her mounting fear of him. He became very abusive, the worst attack putting her in the hospital with a broken collarbone. After that he left Wisconsin and she followed suit. She is naturally somewhat fearful of men, but not in such a way that she can't live every day life around them. She fears getting close to men both as friends, co-workers or in relationships. So, as far as friends, enemies and lovers go I am up for ideas. I don't want anything in the shape of automatic. She needs to get to know people before we set anything in stone. For friends she needs people understanding of her issues, even if she won't discuss them. For enemies, perhaps a man that isn't fond of rejection, or a girl who likes a guy that she eventually starts talking to? Those would be the only ideas I have for enemies, because she's not very confrontational and she's not super competitive. Unless you have other ideas for enemies?! As far as romance goes, it would be a slow development. She would certainly need someone to be patient with her when she becomes scared or falters. She does not do flings or FWBs.
