THE RP-er;;OOC Name:
SongDragon.
Age:
Twenty-four.
Gender:
Female.
Experience:
See Althea’s application for my full experience. Pretty much this time I’m looking to play a character that is a twin. I mean, when people ask me what it’s like to be a twin, I kind of need to look at them and ask, “What’s it like not being a twin?” So, Peppermint and I are twins. We’ve role-played together on various sites, but never gotten much of a chance to play twins. The one time we did, the site turned out to not be active enough. So…
Do you play any other characters on the site?:
Althea Terrell.

PHYSICAL;;Full Description:
Slender might be the kind word to use. Flat, scrawny things with washboard ribs and a malnourished seeming, gangly look is the way Aspen and Brigh had the dubious pleasure of hearing themselves described more often. One standing atop the other’s shoulders is only about half a foot shy of ten feet tall… Yeah, they’re short. Aspen and Brigh are about four feet and ten inches tall At least Aspen’s hoping they’ll shoot up at the last minute… She would at least like to break five feet tall. Neither of them are more than a couple pounds off of eighty.
Some foster home got the bright idea of asking them to cut their hair differently, or even dye it differently. That lasts a little while if they agree, but at this point it has left Aspen with a short scruffy mane of fiery red hair and Brigh with mid-length red-gold hair down to her shoulder blades. Aspen has a myriad of tattoos on her arm, paid for by stealing money from some foster parents and letting inking students practice on her pale flesh. Both girls have dark, intense eyes and fine-boned fingers.
Aspen tends to wear sweater dresses or long shirts over leggings. Aspen favors colors, the brighter the better. She tends to wear no jewelry. She starts out the day with rings and necklaces, but they wind up in her pocket towards the end of the day. Also, Aspen likes boots, particularly ones that come up to just below her knees. She tends to not bother with her hair, barely brushing it out and pushing it out of her face with a headband. Make-up is an automatic “ick” factor for Aspen.
Disabilities:
None.

MENTAL;;Personality:
”Ace”, as she’s occasionally called, was known among her friends for dropping poignant little truisms on people. When directing something at her sister in a conversation, she’ll often use the words, “Mirror, mirror of flesh and blood,” perhaps not realizing how much she may alienate others when she does that. Some would call that pretty oblivious. Aspen really doesn’t give a damn what anyone thinks. There’s an exception for Brigh. Aspen thinks fast, speaks fast, and acts fast. All the adults that like to label her decided to add another label, “impulsive.”
Underneath it all Aspen is terribly afraid of losing her sister and won’t reach out to anyone. They were abandoned to school, by their grandmother’s death, then to the foster care system. She has abandonment issues. The way she sees it is that the only person that can understand, since she really wasn’t some kid hiding from her father’s belt or something horrifying like that, is Brigh. After all, Brigh has lived through all of the same things she has.
While trust isn’t something she asks for from others, since she refuses to trust, attention is something Aspen practically begs for. She advertises her gambling games, as long as she doesn’t think the person is some lousy tattletale, and is very loud, boisterous, curious, and outgoing. She’s quick with a joke or an excuse to get out of class, just not emotional intimacy.

Aspen sets up card games and other gambling games. She likes betting, and she likes poker. She also likes doodling. All her school papers are turned in with doodles, sometimes even makeshift comics.
Fears:
Being separated from her twin sister is Aspen’s greatest fear. If they’re separate she has no idea if anyone else loves her or ever could love her.
PAST;;History:
“The Twins” were born in the west side of Boston to a poor, young teenage mother from a one night stand. Besides being unwanted and unexpected, their first five years were fairly normal, being raised by their maternal grandmother and mother. They have always been extremely attached, having never been separated. But when their maternal grandmother died suddenly of a stroke, their mother (perhaps out of grief and stress, perhaps out of never having wanted them in the first place) put them both up for adoption, and they went into the foster system.
It was more than they could swallow. The first time they were separated into different foster homes, they both ran away. In school, when given separate classes, they would play hooky to go hang out with each other. Due to disobedience and being generally mischievous they were bounced from home to home, leading to more and more behavior problems. Not all foster families knew how to deal with them, which led to harsh or unusual punishments that have left both twins resentful and wary.
Aspen has had a couple of boyfriends. She usually owned them. Aspen favors complete control with her boys, and likes them wrapped around her finger. Often they had a lot to do with aiding her in seeing her sister again. She doesn’t really get relationships. How could any of them ever be as close to her as her sister is? Still, boy pretty boys and women can make some awesome eye candy, even if her emotional intimacy with them only goes to about the depth of a puddle. She left one on the hook when she got shipped off.
Aspen and Brigh started a gambling business on the side, dealing cards and placing bets. Brigh started stealing things, mostly pretty jewelry that catches her attention. Needless to say, they got in some trouble with the law. Given the choice between the ranch and being separated permanently in Juvenile Hall, they chose the ranch.
