Mel is a tiny girl, with platinum blonde hair and green eyes. She's not graced with a curvaceous body, but she's toned and deals with it.

Personality:
OUTSPOKEN* - Mel thinks that it is very important for everyone to know how she feels and what's on her mind. She speaks her opinion with no second thoughts about what she's saying and she's very quick to stand up for herself when she needs to. She doesn't like to be put down, and will openly express her feelings whenever she feels the need to.
OBNOXIOUS* - Mel is a very happy go-lucky person 90% of the time and is always up to have a good time. She can be very loud and overly ecstatic, but most people find it humorous to watch Mel make a fool of herself in front of many people. She is what you would define as a party-girl, who thinks she is friends with basically anyone and will talk to anyone she sees fit.
COMPETITIVE* - Mel probably has one of the most competitive personalities out there, and if she's not the most competitive she's at least in the Top 10. When it comes to competition, Mel will give it her every and her all. She trains as hard as she can, but is very careful of overworking her horses, but besides training her horses, she also trains herself mentally and physically to ensure she's in the best shape possible for when competition season rolls around. She's a very sore loser, and will hold the grudge until she beats you.
ANIMAL-LOVER* - Animals have been in Mel's life since she was a little girl, and so she grew up loving all types of animals. Of course, horses were her favorite. Dogs also played a big part in her life, seeing as she grew up on a tiny ranch where dogs were very helpful during the day. She volunteers frequently at shelters, trying to find good animals great homes.
GREAT FRIEND* - Even though Mel's traits might clash with many people, she is an amazing friend once you can get past all the obvious flaws. She is the kind of girl that will always have your back no matter what, and will stand up for you when she feels the need to. She's very protective of the ones she loves and cares about and will get in anyone's face if need be. She'll take you shopping and basically treat you like you're family if you're her friend.
NEAT* - Mel is a tidy and well-kept person. She keeps herself very clean as well as keeping all of her surroundings clean and sparkly. She supposes that you could suggest that she's borderline a bit of a neat freak, but there's nothing wrong with needing to be clean.

History:
Mel came from a very religious family who had high standards and even higher morals. They expected all of their children to behave according to their idea of perfection, and Mel was no exception to this. Mel and her siblings were brought up in an extremely strict environment, and it caused all of them to rebel at one point or another.
Mel's rebellion began when one of her best friends was having a birthday party, and her parents wouldn't allow her to go. She snuck out and was of course caught when she came back home. She was punished to a cruel grounding the entire summer. This is when Mel discovered her undying love for horses and their beauty.
Her parents lived next to an old couple who owned horses, but were no longer in the shape to ride. Since Mel was destined to spend her entire life at her house, she offered to exercise their horses for them. She convinced her parents and ended up with a sort of summer job. The elder woman taught her the basics of riding and taught her how to ride and find her center and her seat. Mel spent the entire summer riding a TB gelding named Arisco.
When Mel graduated, the couple offered her the gelding, and all of his tack along with him. It was a sort of graduation present to Mel for keeping their horses in shape and being around to keep the couple young. She accepted their gift, and loaded Arisco into a trailer that she was given by the couple and left Houston and never looked back.
She moved in with an old friend from high school, who had moved to Virginia when she was a junior in high school. Her friend had always known that Mel had a love for animals and especially horses, so she suggested Saving Grace to Mel. She had heard about it through a coworker, and knew that it would be the perfect place for Mel and Arisco to go.

Personality: Arisco is a very sweet gelding, who has a big heart and a trusting attitude. He's young, but has a good mind and isn't out to hurt anyone. He loves to cuddle and nuzzle, but he does have a tendency to get nippy. He also loves to soar over fences, but every now and then his young side kicks in and he will adamantly refuse them. He loves to give hugs and especially loves being scratched on the forehead.
