keep it classy ==> www.polyvore.com/untitled_90/set?id=49623807Who doesn't love a family get together? The love, the memories to laugh on, and not to mention the older members of the family poking fun at the younger people! Well, the George family was a little different than that. Most of them got along, but only to a certain point, and then secrets come to light and then by the end of the week most of them can't stand to be around each other. Each person in Hannah's family was different. The majority of them lived in the upper states like New York and Rhode Island. Her grandfather lived the farthest from anyone... for his sanity. Her dad's sister Viola was the one who just loved juicy gossip, and she loved to be in everyone's business. It took a strong person to keep things from her. Her older cousins all had kids who were always running around and causing trouble. Her uncle's Kevin and Mitchell were both lawyers, so all the George men were cut from the same cloth. The only people who Hannah actually tolerated was her gay uncle Jay, and her Aunt Isobelle. Who knew what this reunion would hold. Last year, the reunion was held in Montana at her grandfather's ranch for his birthday. This year Aunt Viola insisted that it be held at her Hampton's beach home. ' At least there is society around, and there is a store within walking distance,' she insisted. Hannah and Markus had been dating for some months now, and things had been going really good, but Markus had been wanting to meet her family. She would always want to change the subject when he would bring it up, and just brush it off. She liked Markus, maybe even love him, but she wanted to spare him the family circus! When she got the invitation to the reunion, there was no way she was getting out of this one. She swallowed her pride and finally agreed to take him. They caught a flight to the nearest airport that could get them to the Hamptons faster. Hannah wore a nice little dress since she didn't want to be upstaged by her richer relations. They got their rental car, and she let Markus drive so she could be calm before getting to the house. She rested her arm on the side of the car and looked out the window and took a deep breath. She rested her arm on the center counsel and held Markus' hand. She was here, but her mind was far from the car.

He knew Hannah hadn't been happy when the invitation had arrived her her annual family reunion, but he was glad she finally couldn't put off letting him meet her family any longer. He was all too excited and twice as nervous. He wondered what would happen if her family didn't like him, or them as a matter of fact. Well it really shouldn't matter. Markus liked him and Hannah together and so they could all butt out! Counting to ten quickly he realized he was letting his anxiety get to him.
Then a slim hand touched his and Hannah curled her fingers in between his own. Immediately his heart stopped its rapid pace and he just revelled in her hand in his. She was his and that was all that mattered. Lightly he squeezed her hand and looked over to flash a confident smile at her. Markus hoped she would enjoy this gathering and not stress too much over it. Turning his eyes back to the road he said, "You know you're the one I want. What your family is like, and what they think about me, has nothing to do with my overwhelming desire to be with you." He squeezed her hand again and played with her fingers. "Relax darling."
They pulled into the drive way and skillfully parked out of the way of everyone else. "Ready or not, here we come." His cheesy joke made him chuckle and he bounced out of the car very excited to meet everyone. He ran his calloused hands down his suit and smoothed out the wrinkles. Hannah had told him a little about the style for the reunion but he still wasn't too sure on what to wear. This happened to be his favorite suit. It was a deep grey color. The undershirt he wore was white and his tie was a diagonally striped black, grey, and maroon pattern. He hadn't realized that a tie would be so hard to pick out with his tan. His brown eyes sparkled and he chuckled at Hannah's nervous look. Extending his hand to her he asked, "Ready M'lady?"

The whole drive from the airport to the Hamptons, Hannah was a nervous wreck underneath the surface. When they landed at the airport, she quickly changed into a nice little dress, and made sure that it coordinated with what Markus was wearing. The whole ride, she was fidgeting with her hands in her lap, fixing the wrinkles in her skirt, or making sure that she had packed everything that she needed. It wasn't that she was nervous to see her family, she could handle all those crazy erratic people, but it was just that she was bringing Markus and was unsure about how they would act around him. The last guy she brought, Malcolm, they acted like they adored him, but then when he left they said that he was not the right guy for their Hannah. So apparently no man was right for her?
She broke out of her thought when he said that he didn't care what her family would think of him, he only wanted to be with her. She looked at him and gave him a little smile, letting out a softly deep breath and looked down. " I know, but I just want things to be right. I don't bring boyfriends to these things for a reason. Which is why I always wanted to talk about something else. I love you Markus, and I don't want my family to drive you away for any reason," she said and placed her hand on his cheek and kissed them when they got to the stop light. She held onto the kiss and leaned into it. She pulled away and bit her lip and looked into his eyes. She was still worried.
They got through the town, and arrived at the beach house. They found a good parking spot amoungst the Land Rovers, Mercedes, and Ferrari's. She took a deep breath and stepped out on her side. She looked around and brushed some of her hair back. She looked at Markus and tried to smile, but frowned because she was still nervous. She could hear the chatter and music coming from inside, and she took a step towards Markus. Fixed his tie out of nervous habit and took his hand. Her small smooth hand fitting into his large calloused one. Here goes nothing.

Markus could barely believe what he had just heard. She loved him? Thank God she had said that in a sentence and not as a statement. He needed more time to think things over. He really did think he loved her. His heart ached and his breathe caught in his throat when he was around her. The possessive feeling that built in his chest and stomach often burned when she was around another man. But was he really the right one for her? What if he had to leave?
Soft lips pressed against his then. Firey passion laced through them and what she was able to impose at one little stop light really wasn't going to allow him to think for the rest of this drive. When she pulled back and bit her lip, he licked his and stared at her hungrily. Markus had never pushed her to do anything, never would, but that didn't mean he did not want to. Begrudgingly he turned back to the stop light and made himself continue driving instead of crawling over to her seat to kiss her senseless.
When they arrived he got out of the car and locked it. She fixed her hair and then then slipped her small hand into his. A smile brightened up his face and he smoothed down his suit. "Don't worry Hannah, they could never take me from you. I'm too tightly wrapped around your pretty little fingers for that." Markus winked at her and kissed her lightly on the cheek. Then he started to walk towards the front door, where he rang the door bell. He sucked in a breathe, nervous all of a sudden, and waited patiently for the door to open. His hand squeezed Hannah's in a quick comforting motion. He knew she would be more anxious than him.

Did she just say that? She loved him? Maybe it just slipped out and she meant to say ' I like you' not ' I love you'. It was all too soon to be saying the L word, but he made her feel appreciated, and safe. He was patient with her, and put up with her stubbornness and her controlling nature. He was so good to her, and she didn't want to let him go. Nope, he was a keeper, and she didn't want him to be the one that got away. They have been dating for a few months, and she hoped that it would last for a long time.
They pulled up, she noticed that not everyone was here yet. There was Aunt Viola's pearl pink Land Rover, Mitchell and Kevin were here with their families. Uncle Jay was not here yet, damn it! Her dad and Theo had gone out to Montana to get her grandfather for the reunion. She saw the kids running around on the beach flying kites, so obviously the adults were inside having cocktails, drinks, and who knows what other things. They had walked to the front door and he held her hand tight. A few moments after he rang the doorbell, she heard a voice on the other side, and she gave him one last quick kiss. The door opened and there was Viola in all her glitter and glamour. Her eyes widened and she smiled at Hannah," Hannah kitten! There you are. It's been too long my pet," she said and stepped out and gave Hannah a superficial hug. Stepping away, she looked at Markus. " And who is this fine young man," she asked.
Hannah took a deep breath, " Aunt Viola, this is Markus, my boyfriend," she said and smiled. Viola brought them in and announced that they had arrived. " It is good to meet you Markus. Hannah is so hush hush, she never drops a word about the new men in her life," she said and chuckled and took a sip of her martini. " Hannah, we put you in your old room upstairs. Dinner is in an hour, make yourself look presentable," she said and had to go supervise the chefs in the kitchen.
Hannah walked upstairs and led him to their room. She set her stuff on the floor, and laid back on the bed and took a deep breath. First hurdle was over. He met the worst of her family.

A very pompous woman answered the door. She was posh and overly excited. Markus just put on his best polite smile and sucked up his feelings for the woman's first impression. He squeezed Hannah's hand when she introduced him knowing she would be a little apprehensive. The conversation was quickly over and both women were departing. Markus sighed. He really was torn. He wanted to spend time with Hannah and calm her down, but he knew that would not be looked upon as appropriate and she would want them to like him.
"Viola, may I call you that?" He tapped her on the shoulder lightly and then stood up right with good posture. "Do you have separate accommodations for me? I would love to stay with Hannah, but that would not be considered quite appropriate don't you think?" Markus gave her a flattering, and decently sexy smile. Aunt's loved that kind of thing. He really wasn't sure why though. It was all really nasty of course. He was dating her niece not her, but she would expect him to show interest. High society had always bothered him. Hiding his disgust he leaned closer to her ear and whispered, "I would really hate to tarnish her reputation. After all Hannah is the love of my life." His voice was low and soft when he said her name just to put an emphasis on his point. Why not give her something juicy to chew on for awhile? Surely this woman would love that. He forced himself not to roll his eyes in an exasperated manner.
Markus had met women like this before and he was honestly surprised that she had not asked his last name. It would be quite the shocker if she ever did find out! Koenig Financial was one of the biggest stock brokers in the United States and this woman most definitely would recognize it. She seemed to be the kind that loved to gamble and play at risk.

Viola turned around when he tapped her on her shoulder, and she slowly turned. He had asked for separate accommodations, and this was an unlikely request from any of Hannah's beaus. In the past they would share the room with her, but nothing ever happened. At least not that the rest of the family knew, but Hannah was raised a lady and knew how to be virtuous and respectful. Viola gave him a little smile and cleared her throat. " Well, aren't you just the gentleman. All the rooms are mostly taken, but you can stay in the guest house above the garage outside if you wish. It's separate from the house, but at least it's quiet and you can have your personal space. I would hate for her good reputation to be ruined, she is after all a George. I'll have your things taken over there if you so choose," she said giving him one last smile and quickly rushed to the kitchen when she heard a loud noise.
Hannah changed out of her cocktail dress, and changed into something more comfortable to wear before dinner. She'll change back before she goes to dinner, but she just wanted to feel relaxed before looking the way people wanted her to look. She put on a pair of jeans, and a simple shirt, and made her way down the back stairs. She ran her fingers through her hair to keep the wind out of her face, and slowly she made her way towards the beach that was behind the house. Hannah liked to walk on the beach when she was here to clear her head, but also she heard her cousin's kids playing and wanted to go see them. She put her hands in her pockets as she crossed the dunes, and found the children playing tag, and flying kites.
She stood a little ways away from them, and watched quietly. Her cousin's kids were so rambunctious and playful. She adored them all. Someday she'd like to have kids like them. Little Gracie spotted Hannah and ran to her. Her head full of curls bounced as she ran and she reached her arms out to her. " Hannah,Hannah! You're 'ere," she called and laughed. Hannah smiled and walked to her, and swiftly scooped the child up in her arms and spun her around. " My goodness Gracie you have grown. You're getting so tall," smiled Hannah and hugged the little 4 year old and she put her down. Gracie reached into her pocket and pulled out a little shell that was tri-colored, and Hannah knelt down to see it better. " That is really pretty," she said seeing the shell in the child's hand.

As soon as she had turned around Markus made his way after Hannah. He really wasn't sure were he was going, so he thought it a good idea to go find her and ask for directions to his new room. He really was disapointed that he couldn't stay with her, but reputation was everything in high society(as much as he disliked that), and he would be damned if he did anything to ruin hers. "Hannah?" There was a door on the second floor only slightly ajar so he assumed it was hers. Pushing open the door he found her cocktail dress laid nicely over her bed, but no Hannah. A shiver raced down his spine. He really couldn't put into words how much he would have liked to be the one to pull that off of her. Clenching his hands he walked out of the room and shut the door. This was not appropriate thought for such an occasion.
While he was walking down the hallway he happened to glance out of a window and saw Hannah playing with the children. A smile brightened up his face and he quickly bounded to the back door. A brisk walk carried him to where she was and he knelt behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Oh, what a pretty shell!" Markus smiled at the child and pulled Hannah tighter to him. She was such a cutie this little girl. "Almost as beautiful as Miss Hannah." Not wanting to do too much in front of the child Markus settled for kissing her lightly behind her ear, the abandoned cocktail dress still racing through his mind.
The other children playing tag caught his eye then. He loved playing with children! They were just so innocent and so much fun, but their game of tag needed some serious amping up. Slowly he released Hannah and walked over to the game. He threw his hands up and shook his head, "Ok, ok, hold on guys." The children slowly stopped and looked at him. "You're playing this game of tag all wrong!" Some of them looked shocked that an adult was interfering, but then he gave them a reassuring smile to gain back their confidence. "Have you ever played hide and go seek tag? No? Ok well this is how it works." He then proceeded to explain that hide and go see tag was like hide and go seek and freeze tag. Whoever was it counted to 100 then the rest of them hid. When the person it found you you could run! Hence avoiding being frozen. If you do become frozen you can get unfroze if someone crawls beneath you. Simple! The children were all quite enthusiastic and Markus readily agreed to be it first to show them how it's done. When he started counting they all ran off and Markus took this opportunity to go back and see Hannah.
When he turned to her he smiled warmly. The little girl with her was really quite adorable. Markus had stopped counting and was just going to give them a good five minutes to hide. He took one of Hannah's hands and gently ran his thumb over the back of it. "Do you want to have kids Hannah?" He definitely did. He loved children. Smiling warmly at her he continued, "Someday that is."

Hannah loved kids, and she hoped that when she found the right guy that she would be able to start a family. Of course, she didn't want children right away, but it was a thought for the future. She stayed down low at eye level with Gracie and she picked up the shell in her hand, and turned it slowly to look at it. It was small shell that had a little twist at the top, and it went from a violet purple in the center to fading to a light pink. She could see why Gracie loved it so much. She was caught off guard when she heard a voice behind her, and felt two strong arms pull her close in a protective embrace. She gave a little smiled and leaned her head back and his cheek was able to brush alongside the top of her head. " Almost as beautiful? Did you hear that Gracie, he thinks the shell is prettier than me," she chirped and Gracie giggled and looked at Markus. " He's funny," laughed Gracie and took the shell and held it tight it her hand. She didn't want to lose it.
Hannah felt him kiss her behind her ear, and she smiled and closed her eyes. She wished that it was on her lips, but it was probably a good idea not to do anything big in front of the child. Still kneeling down in front of Gracie, Hannah introduced Gracie to Markus. " Gracie, this is my very good friend Markus. I hope you will come to love him as much as I do. Markus this is my aunt's daughter Grace Ann, but we call her Gracie," she said softly. Gracie looked at Markus and smiled. One of her front teeth was missing, so it made it all the more cute.
Hannah watched as Markus walk off and play with the older kids who were playing tag. He was so good with kids, and she couldn't help but watch in fascination. She stood back up, and slowly picked up Gracie. Gracie leaned into her and wrapped her little arms gently around her neck, and leaned her head on Hannah's shoulder. What was he going to teach the kids? When the kids ran off, Gracie wiggled in Hannah's arms, and ran off the catch up with the other kids. Now it was just Hannah and Markus on the beach. She held his hand gently when he took it, and she looked at him, and this time she gave him a proper kiss as he caressed her hand. She pulled away and nodded when he asked her if she wanted kids someday. She smiled, " Someday, I would like kids. If I found the right guy that is," she said and gave him a teasing smile. She looked at her phone to keep an eye on the time so that they weren't late for dinner.

Markus chuckled at her response and Gracie's cute little laugh. "Oh shush, you heard me wrong love! No one or any thing could be as beautiful as you in my eyes." -------- The kiss she planted on his lips was marvelous and he savored every second of it. When he pulled away her response made him smile. "Mmm, I see. And how long do you think it will take you to find this very special man?" He leaned forward and nuzzled at her nose with his and was just about to taste her lips again when he was surrounded by children.
The leader of the kids stepped forward and glared at Markus. "How long does it take you to count to one hundred? It has been FOREVER!!" The girl had her hands on her hips and a testy look on her face.
"Oh uhh..well..." He looked at Hannah shocked before jumping to his feet and pulling Hannah up with him. "Run Hannah run!" Markus looked like quite the dork but he really didn't want to be mobbed by a group of children today. Oh the torture! His legs carried him swiftly back to Hannah's room because it really was the only place he knew he could hide in this entire house. Nervous he paced back and forth waiting for Hannah to join him. Then a certain piece of clothing caught his eye and he stopped mid-pace.
A groan escaped his lips. He had forgotten all about that blasted cocktail dress. Why did it bother him that much? I mean he had been with several girls and pulled off their cocktail dresses, so why did Hannah's cause his entire body to light on fire and his mouth to go dry with an unwanted lusty hunger. He backed all the way up against the far wall and slid down its length. Sitting there with his head in his hands and his legs spread out is how she would find him if she followed.

Hannah smiled and she looked into his eyes and acted real koi. " Well, there is this really amazing guy that I've been dating for a while now. He's actually about to meet my whole family. If he makes it past them, then I think he'll be a keeper," she said softly and laced her fingers with his and locked them tight. His nose nuzzled hers, and she smiled and took a step closer. She was about to kiss him again when the kids came running and circled them.
Hannah held onto Markus's hand, and giggled at the older kid's reaction. Markus did say that he would count to 100 and then go to find them. By now he must've counted to a million, and the kids were not that patient. She looked around and laughed. They had better run. She let go of Markus, and watched him take off. " Run Markus, RUN!," she laughed watched some of the kids chase him for a while and then stopped. She ran back with the kids, and when they reached the house the kids went to get snacks. Hannah put Gracie down, and skipped up the stairs since her aunt saw him go up there.
Hannah skipped up the stairs, and slowly opened her door. " Hey Markus, my aunt said you'd...." and she saw him sitting up against the wall. She stopped where she was and looked at him. Slowly, she approached him, and knelt down in front of him and took his hand. " Babe, are you alright," she said softly and searched for his eyes to meet hers.
