PAST;;History:
Ida grew up in a middle class, small family in the rural parts of Cork, Ireland as an only child. Her parents were very traditional and old fashioned family, rarely letting her go out to town and insisting on home schooling her until she was 18. Life in Cork was rather dull, she never had many friends with her parents looking over her shoulder every five seconds. Living in rural Ireland, great plains of grass was not hard to come by. Many of her neighbors owned livestock, and most owned the animal that Ida had become fascinated by, horses. She would constantly borrow a few of them from her neighbors and occasionally took lessons from them. Her parents were less than excited about it. They were constantly in fear of her falling and hurting herself to the point that they had asked everyone to stop letting Ida ride the horses. When she turned 19, she decided to leave Cork and stay in Dublin, only about 3 hours away. After spending about 2 years in Dublin, doing random jobs here and there, she left to go to the US, hoping to pursue some kind of career in equestrianism.
When she arrived, she settled into a small town in Connecticut for about a year. During that time, she got a job at a local stable as a stablehand. But before long, the place went bankrupt due to a small amount of business and she bought her gelding, Ahearn. In search of somewhere to go after that, she settled on a little town in Virginia.
