Shows work in interesting ways here on SGR. First off: Scheduling.
Each event has 4 categories: NOVICE, JUNIOR, SENIOR and CHAMPION. Each person, no matter the age or skill or the rider or horse must start at the novice level and work up. If you place in the top 5 of an event, you are clear to move on to the next level.
A rider may own up to 5 horses. Each horse may have up to 3 disciplines. (Please note that if they are Jumping. Dressage and Cross Country, even though it is Eventing, it counts as 3 disciplines as they can be shown separately). Once a horse has become a champion in 2 disciplines, it is now a Champion Horse. Once a rider has reached the Champion level, they will be eligible to try out for an Olympic spot in that event when the time comes. Only horses ages 3 and over may take part in shows other than the Training show.
*** This class is for horses under the age of 3. It is not an event which has levels, it is simply a way to gain points when a horse is too young to show otherwise.
There are 10 slots in each level of a show. As stated above, you need to get into the top 5 to move on to the next level. Ranks are decided by a random generator. Should there be open slots NPC (non-player characters) from "other stables" will fill up the remainder of the slots.
Each rider is generated a number from 1 to 100. The higher your roll, the higher you will be in the ranking for your event. The person with the highest rank will win and then it goes down the line. If you wish to boost your roll by a few points no matter what, you may purchase items from the tack store. Please be advised that if your score falls below a 40, you are at risk for injury. If you wish to prevent injury, there is an item in the vets office.
As for prizes, each spot earns you a few points, which translate to into who are the best horses and riders. The more points you have accumulated, the higher up the ranks you go. Listed below are the point for the novice level. Junior points are double that. Senior points are triple and Champion points are quadruple what is listed below.
